Book Week 2016 Fun & Interactive Story Sessions with Australian Themed Books
Are you looking for a fun new and interactive activity for your centre that supports Book Week 22nd August to 26th August 2016?
Kids Dress Up Box One Off Sessions and Book Week sessions run for 30 minutes and use popular stories by award winning children’s authors with powerful messages about self awareness, kindness, friendship, sharing, imagination and other attributes necessary for building healthy self-esteem.
Each session provides a fun, play based opportunity to listen to a story and then dress up and pretend to be that character. These session are fantastic for Book Week as they teach the language of emotions through story telling. They also foster a connection to children's own creativity & imagination and teach them techniques for connecting to their own inner magic.
For Book Week the stories can be tailored to the theme for this year Australia! Story Country by either using Australian children’s authors or stories with an Australian twist. Let us know if you have a request for this.
We provide one story with matching theme costume pieces and supporting activity such as art and craft, music, singing or dancing tailored to the children’s age. We begin each session with a selected story. This launches their magical and explorative journey through their own emotions, strengths and interests in relation to the character in the story. The children then have the opportunity to role play the character or theme of the story. At the end of the session we take off our costumes and talk about how wonderful it feels just to be ourselves.
If you want to encourage children's love of reading with a session or program that teaches the language of emotions through story telling. If you want to encourage the use of children's own imagination and teach them creative techniques for connecting to their own inner magic. And if you want to help children to connect with the character of the story and develop self awareness and connection to their peers then Book one of our sessions now for Book Week 2016
